About District 201
District 201 Toastmasters was created as part of Toastmasters International’s 2026 district realignment, bringing together clubs, members, and leaders from all of former District 1 and portions of Districts 52, 100, and 57. The new district officially began serving members on July 1, 2026.
District 201 serves the southern portion of Los Angeles County, including communities across Greater Los Angeles, the South Bay, and surrounding areas. In simple terms, our district extends across a broad region from the coast near Malibu and San Pedro, through central Los Angeles communities, and east toward Whittier, La Mirada, and the Orange County border.
While District 201 is new, our foundation is built on decades of Toastmasters history, leadership, achievement, and service throughout Southern California. Many of our clubs and members bring forward proud traditions from their former districts, including strong club leadership, speech contests, officer training, district conferences, recognition programs, and a long record of member growth.
District 201 honors the legacy of the districts and leaders who came before us while looking ahead to what we can build together. This is our inaugural chapter — a chance to connect clubs, strengthen members, support leaders, and shape a district that reflects the energy, diversity, and possibility of Greater Los Angeles. We are Stronger Together.
